Which information is usefull for me before using this website/ordering?
Who is f1-world.com?
f1-world.com was born in the late eighties and early nineties out of a collectors hobby. This lead to a web based shop in 1994. Sales was then almost 100%
international and aimed at special race model cars and other race memorablia. In 2010 we adjusted this approach and focussed more on the European market.
As a company born out of collecting scale models, we want to offer our customers the possibility to have a hobby that is affordable. For you, but for us
as well, because the world of scale models exites us enormously. This, together with our pionearship and years of experience in the areas of scale models
and vermeerderd eCommerce, has built a company which you can rely upon and that understands it's customers.
f1-world.com is part of Horus ICT (an ICT company; our second passion) and is located inSittard. We do not have a showroom or fysical shop which you can
visit, We do have a warehouse from which we distribute the products.
Can I return items?
Sure you can. There are two options:
1. You can return items within the 'cooling down' period. This is a timframe which allows consumers to return products (there are some exclusions, but these
are not relevant for f1-world.com) without any obligation to provide reasons why products are returned. This is a European law. As we are bound by Dutch law,
the timeframe starts when products have been received by the consumer and lasts for 7 days. We will then refund the amount. The only amout we do not refund are
the shipping costs back to us. We will refund the money within 30 days.
2. The products is broken or has broken due to production errors during the guarantee period: If this happens, then we have sent you a faulty product. More than
enough reasons to exchange the product. If this happens, then please contact us, and we'll help you out.
Do I need to create n account to order?
No, this is not necessary. You can order as guest, but you'll miss out on several great features: You'll be able to track your order on our website, if you
want to order in the future, you'll only need to log in, and your details are filled in automatically (except for payment details, we do not store these), and
you can subscribe to our newsletter. The choice is yours.
How can I pay?
f1-world.com offers several payment methods. Basically, you can pay up front of pay after the order is received. We use several financial partners to be able
to offer you these payment options. When paying up front, you can choose iDeal (only available in the Netherlands), Paypal or Creditcards (Mastercard of Visa)
and banktransfer. There are no additional costs associated with these payment options. You can also pay after the order has been received by you, but this is
only available in the Netherlands (via AfterPay), and has a surcharge of E1,50 per order.
How does the shipping work?
We ship within 5 business days from our warehouse. We use two shipping partners: PostNL and DPD. For shipments to destinations in the Netherlands, Belgium and
Germany, we normally use DPD. For other destinations we normally ship using PostNL. If a specific shipping partner is more suitable for a shipment, then we
reserve the right to choose that shipping partner. If this costs more than the price agreed with you, then we will take care of these costs.

I want to cancel my order. How do I do this?
Please send an email to info@f1-world.com mentioning your ordernumber and the fact you would like to cancel your order. If your order has already been sent,
please do not decline the shipment at your doorstep. Canceling this way costs us money and these will be charged back to you. Pleas contact us, and we'll take
care of the issue and refund as soon as possible.
I would like to expand my order. How to I do this?
Send an email to info@f1-world.com mentioning your ordernumber and the product that needs to be added to the order and the payment method you would like to use.
Are all the products really in stock?
Yes. We have more than 8000 products in stock. But, as you can imagine, when keeping track of 8000 items, once in a while, you loose track of some items. So,
in rare occassions, a product is not in stock, but is registered as being in stock. If a product in your order is not in stock, we'll let you know as soon as
possible.
Not all products are in stock. What do I do now?
If products are not in stock, we will let you know and provide you with the options (wait until all is available, cancel the item and ship what is available
and ship later whn it becomes available; additional shipping might apply with this last option).
How can I order?
Ordering at f1-world.com is easy. You either browse through our catalog or you search for a specific product. On the product page or in the list you see a
button "Buy Now". If you click on this button, then the product will be added to your shopping cart. You can change the quantity you want to order on the
shopping cart page and click update. You can change multple items and then click on update once. If you're done shopping, then you can go to the shopping
basket (click on the orange ball with a number in it on the right). Check the contents and if you're satisfied with the content, then proceed to the next
step by clicking on Checkout. The checkout procedure will be started. The first step is to provide your personal details or log in. The second step is to
choose a shipping method. Mostly only one method is available. The third step allows you to choose a payment method. The fourth step is a confirmation.
Check all you details and if they are OK, then proceed. You will be taken to our payment provider (unless you've chosen banktransfer as payment option).
Fill in the deatials and finish the payment. You are now taken to the order confirmation page. A conformation is also sent through email to the email
address you provided earlier.
What about delivery times and product availability?
Almost all products are available for shipments (exceptions are not). We ship within five business days. This is excluding time needed to get the product
to you (depends on the destination, but mostly within 3 business days). We generally see total delivery times of 5 to 10 business days (end to end).

Are prices excluding or including VAT?
All prices are including VAT and excluding shipping costs. We only ship excluding VAT to countries ouside of the EU by special request.
How about guarantee?
According to European law, you are entitled to 2 years of guarantee. This protects you against product faults due to production errors. Tear and wear is not
part of the guarantee. If you notice this, then we'll ask you to send some pictures of the problem. Please contact us if you encounter production errors.
What about the cancellation policy, exchange and 'cooling down period'?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to cancel your order. You have seven days to return your order. No questions asked! The only thing
we ask is that the product i in it's original state and packaging. The product(s) may not be used during thos seven days. Products can be exchanged with
another product within 10 business days. No money is being refund if the new product is cheaper than the old product, but we will give you a discount code
that is valid for two years. Shipping costs may apply when exchanging or returning.
Returning outside of the cooling down period is only possible under certain conditions. Please contact us if you would like to return products.
By accident, I placed several orders?
Please contact us at info@f1-world.com and we'll sort things out for you. Clearly state relevant order numbers when contacting us.
I lost my password for my account. What do I do?
If you lost your password, you can request a new one on our website. Go to 'Log In' and click on the 'Password Forgotten? Click here'. Enter your email
address and click Continue. You will be sent a new password by email.
I lost my username for my account. What do I do?
Your username is your email address. If you cannot remember your username, simply contact us or open a new account.
I created an account, but I didn't get a confirmation email? What happened?
a. The address you provided is incorrect.
b. The confirmation email is marked as spam by the email system of email client you use. Check your spam folder to see if it's there.
If cannot find the confirmation email, then please let us know.
I placed an order, but didn't receive anything. What happened?
Please contact us as it seems something went seriously wrong with your order.
What's with these scales. How does this work?
Almost all models have a scale mentioned with them. The scale indicates how big a model is, relative to the original item. If for example it says 1:18, then
every 18 cm of the original is 1 cm in the model. So to get the full length of the model, you devide the length of the original by the scale.
Several examples using a passenger car which is 4.5 m in length. The size of the models would then be:
scale 1:12 = 37,5 cm
scale 1:18 = 25 cm
scale 1:32 = 14 cm
scale 1:43 = 10 cm
scale 1:72 = 6 cm
scale 1:87 = 5 cm
There are many scales. All mentioned on the product page. If this is not the case, then the scale is probably unknown.
What does 'Uitloop' mean?
This means that the product is available (limited) but is not being manufacturered anymore, and we cannot get more from the factories. The product will be
deleted from our catalogue after the available quantity has been sold.
I'm running into technical difficulties or get page cannot be found/cannot be opened?
Even though we have multiple probes that check the health of our website, it is impossible to monitor each and every page. We would appreciate it if you
would let us know if you encounter an error or strange behaviour. We will certainly investigate each and every message and provide you with feedback on the
message.
What does Tax Free Shopping mean for me?
Tax Free Shopping is available only to non EU citizens. Do you live outside of the EU and is your order actually leaving the EU, then you will pay 0% VAT.
You have to make sure you pay VAT and import charges in your country. Not doing so may be subject to serious penalties or even legal prosecution. We are not legally responsible if you do not officially import the ordered products.
